JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto firmly said that he supports Marsinah as a national hero. This was conveyed during a speech at the commemoration of International Labor Day at the Monas field, Jakarta, Thursday, May 1. The proposal emerged from the aspirations of the labor leaders who conveyed it directly to President Prabowo. Marsinah is a labor activist who died tragically in 1993 after fighting for the rights of workers in Sidoarjo, East Java.
