Thuram And Dumfries Trigger The Real Return Of Inter Milan
JAKARTA - Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries are back and goals for Inter Milan are the same.
Dumfries scored twice and Thuram opened the scoring in Inter's 3-3 draw against Barcelona at Olympic Lluis Companys in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final, Thursday, May 1, 2025.
"I'm happy, it was a difficult time for me to get injured, but now I'm back."
"It was certainly a great performance," Dumfries told Amazon Prime.
Inter have lost their previous three games without scoring goals - for the first time this has happened in more than 13 years.
The result cost them the Serie A throne and was eliminated from the Coppa Italia.

Thuram has missed the three games due to a left thigh injury. Dumfries have been out for a long time, missing eight games due to hamstring issues before returning as a substitute last weekend.
The duo immediately showed Inter what they missed when Thuram made a back-heel to welcome Dumfries' cross which surprised Barcelona just seconds after kick-off.
It was Thuram's 18th goal this season for Inter. He also contributed nine assists.
Dumfries then doubled Inter's lead in the 21st minute with an acrobatic shot in front of Barcelona's goal.
He became the first Dutch player to score goals and assists in the Champions League semifinals since Wesley Sneijder - also happened to Inter against Barcelona, in 2010.
Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres equalized for the hosts shortly before halftime.
However, Dumfries scored his second goal in the 64th minute, headed the ball from a corner to put Inter 3-2 up.
However, Barcelona quickly equalized when Raphinha's hard kick from outside the box hit the crossbar and bounced into Yann Sommer's back, which was the Inter goalkeeper's own goal.
"We played well. I think after three consecutive defeats, we saw the real Inter, playing with all our heart."
"I'm proud of us. Obviously we want to win, but I think it's a good game and everything is still open, we'll see at Milan," Dumfries said.
The second leg match will take place in the middle of next week at Milan. The winner will face Paris Saint-Germain or Arsenal in Munich on May 31, 2025.
PSG beat Arsenal 1-0 in London on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, in the first leg.
