Bahlil Called Already Signaling Golkar Support Prabowo In The 2029 Presidential Election

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Idrus Marham, stated that the general chairman of his party, Bahlil Lahadalia, had given a signal to support President Prabowo Subianto to run again in the 2029 presidential election.

This was conveyed by Idrus during the National Ideology Recitation at the Golkar Party DPP office, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 30. Even so, this support is certainly given according to the existing stages.

"Since the beginning, the General Chairperson of Bung Bahlil Lahadalia has given this signal (support for Prabowo, ed), but of course, through several stages according to the characteristics of the Golkar Party," said Idrus as quoted on Thursday, May 1.

"How? Provide conceptual support, namely making astacita a development movement in all fields," he continued.

Idrus stated that this method is an effort by the Golkar Party to prepare Prabowo's steps in the future. This is because successful development will automatically shape people's political perceptions and attitudes.

"So that if he becomes a political escalator, development is successful, then surely the people will give their full support and at that time Golkar. For Golkar, the people's voice is Golkar's voice, there is no other way but to give full support to Prabowo in the next period in accordance with the aspirations of the people," said the former Minister of Social Affairs.

In addition, Idrus believes that community support will emerge along with the success of development in the Prabowo Government. "And Golkar is at the forefront of the astacita development instrument as a development movement," he said.

He emphasized that Golkar's support for government is not mere symbolic but still measurable and directed. "It's not just an omon-omon statement, but a statement accompanied by a concept," said Idrus.

"What is the concept? Asta ideals are that we make it a development movement and therefore to fill this development Golkar is at the forefront. That is what Bung Bahlil Lahadalia is exampled for," he concluded.
