Apart From Monas, Workers Are Also Crowded With The DPR Building
JAKARTA - A number of workers have begun to crowd the area of the House of Representatives (DPR), Central Jakarta, to conduct speeches to commemorate International Labor Day (May Day) 2025.
Information gathered by ANTARA at the location, Thursday, May 1, stated that they were dominated by women and came from a number of elements, such as Domestic Workers, the Indonesian Women's Alliance, the Union and so on.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Central Jakarta Police, Kombes Pol. Susatyo Purnomo Condro was seen arranging the workers to remain orderly.
"For troops on standby in the DPR area, there are around 4,793 personnel," he said.
Susatyo said that the diversion of traffic flow was situational, as well as the duration of time workers carried out their actions, he said it was still situational.
Previously, Polda Metro Jaya prepared as many as 13,252 joint personnel to secure International Labor Day (May Day) 2025.
"In this security activity, we involve 13,252 joint personnel consisting of 9,591 Polri personnel, 3,385 TNI personnel and 276 regional government personnel," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Karyoto in the Troop Preparedness Apple in the Context of Security for International Labor Day (May Day) 2025 at Monas Field, Tuesday (29/4).
Karyoto said that every incident that occurs in Jakarta will be a national public concern, even international and have the potential to trigger domino effects in other areas.
