LPSK: Victim of sexual harassment by Blessmyanda is more than one person
JAKARTA - The Witness and Victim Protection Agency (LPSK) met with DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to discuss the issue of sexual harassment perpetrated by Blessmiyanda.
Blessmiyanda was the Head of the Jakarta Goods and Services Procurement Service Agency before being finally disabled from his position due to the case.
LPSK Deputy Chairman Edwin Edwin Partogi Pasaribu admitted that he received news from Anies about not just one victim of sexual harassment by Bless.
"There is one report to the LPSK. I am not the investigator. But I heard a statement from the Governor that there was more than one victim", said Edwin at the City Hall of DKI, Central Jakarta, Thursday, April 29.
Edwin said, currently the condition of the victims of abuse who reported to the LPSK was in good condition. It's just that, the victim has not been able to forget the events that he experienced.
"Of course we still need psychological rehabilitation for the victims and their recovery. I think regarding the news, we are also trying to prevent them from disclosing the profile of the victim because it can create pressure for the victim", explained Edwin.
Previously, DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Assistant Secretary Sigit Wijatmoko stated that Bless was proven to have sexually harassed one of his employees.
This is based on the results of the inspectorate's inspection. Bless was proven to have committed harassment at the DKI Jakarta City Hall Blok G Building which is in the same neighborhood as the office of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan.
"What Blessmiyanda has done is degrading, because it is proven to be done in the office and during office hours", said Sigit, yesterday.
On that basis, Sigit said that his party had imposed severe disciplinary sanctions. Bless received two sanctions, the first is released from office. Second, Bless is subject to a reduction in employee income allowance for 24 months by 40 percent.
Sanctions for violations are also contained in Government Regulation 53/2010 concerning Civil Servant Discipline, especially in the provisions of Article 3 point 6, namely degrading the honor of the state government and the dignity of Civil Servants.
"Based on the results of the examination, both by the Provincial Inspector and the Adhoc team chaired by the Regional Secretary, the Civil Servants on behalf of Blessmiyanda are proven to have committed acts degrading the dignity of the Civil Servants", he said.
