Google Removes Millions Of Apps From Play Store

JAKARTA Google has secretly cleaned up the Play Store. Over the past 12 months, there have been millions of applications that have been deleted because the number of applications offered has dropped drastically.

According to the results of the Appfigures analysis, based on the TechCrunch report, the availability of the application has decreased significantly. At the beginning of last year, there were 3.4 million available applications, but now the number has fallen to 1.8 million.

This is a huge drop. From this data, it was revealed that the number of apps fell by 47 percent. Most likely, more applications were removed because Google would definitely receive a number of new apps in the past year.

This only happens on Google. In Appfigures records, the application on the App Store for iOS has actually increased. Even though there are only a few applications offered by the App Store, now it is 1.64 million from the previous 1.6 million.

Chances are, the reduction in the number of applications on the Play Store is influenced by the minimum quality standards of Google-enhanced applications. This reduction can have a good and bad impact on Android users.

The good impact is that users can find high-quality applications easier. The reason is, low-quality applications will not be available on these devices. High-quality applications are also easier to find due to low market competition.

The bad effects, not many app options are available. However, it is not clear what factors underlie the reduction of this application. There is a possibility that this cleaning will be carried out because some app developers have committed violations.
