Handling Papua's Problems, The TNI Commander Has Made An MoU With The Cross-Minister
TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto responded to the Papuan Armed Criminal Group (KKB) attack on the Komnas HAM group in Bintuni Bay, West Papua.
The Commander said that his party had collaborated with cross-ministerial ministries to deal with problems that occurred in Papua.
"In Papua, it is not only the task of the TNI, we must collaborate. I convey in Commission I that we must collaborate with other ministries," said the Commander, Wednesday, April 30.
The TNI, he continued, has even made a memorandum of agreement or MoU with several ministries to jointly eradicate the gaps on Earth of Cenderawasih.
"I have created an MOU with several Ministries, with the Ministry of Transmigration, with the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Health, we must jointly build this remote area so that the community's difficulties can be resolved immediately," said Agus.
Including the matter of KKB in Papua, the TNI Commander ensured that the state was present to protect the people in Papua.
"The government is present when people need it," he continued.
It is known that KKB violence in Papua continues. Finally, the Head of Komnas HAM Papua Representative Frits Ramandey was shot by an armed criminal group (KKB) in Bintuni Bay, West Papua. The perpetrator opened fire 4 times when Frits was in the river accompanied by 4 police personnel. Luckily, there were no victims in the incident.
The Papuan Representative Commission for Human Rights was involved in the search operation for the former Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bintuni Bay Police, Iptu Tomi S Marbun, which had been missing for the last 4 months. Frits and his entourage were invited by the West Papua Police to join the joint personnel.
The incident occurred when Frits et al came down the river with the intention of bathing, washing, toilets (MCK) in Kali Rawara, Meyah Lama Village, West Moskona District, Bintuni Bay on Sunday, (27/4), at around 07.10 WIT. However, the perpetrator opened fire from across the Rawara River.
Iptu Tomi himself allegedly drifted around the location while chasing KKB members on December 18, 2024. At that time, Iptu Tomi led an operation to arrest a KKB member named Marthen Aiking.
