Commemorating National Education Day, TikTok Encourages Education Content On Its Platform

JAKARTA - TikTok continues to strengthen its commitment to presenting educational content on its platform. To commemorate National Education Day which falls on May 2, TikTok presents its #SerunyaBelajar campaign.

According to Senior Manager, PR & Communications, TikTok Indonesia Edwin Lengkei, educational content is also a content that is also in great demand by the TikTok community in Indonesia.

"Education is an inseparable part of TikTok. After the last 5 years, we have seen the growth of educational content in Indonesia is really quite large," said Edwin in a press conference "The Excitement of Learning and Innovation with Education Creators on TikTok" on Wednesday, April 30 in Jakarta.

Edwin also revealed that TikTok currently has more than 24 million educational content globally, using the hashtag #SerunyaBelajar, #SerunyaRead, and #SamaSamaBelajar.

TikTok also has a special educational feed called STEM feed (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), which has recently been soft launch in Indonesia.

According to Edwin, STEM content on TikTok already has more than 110 billion views globally. With this spirit, TikTok affirms its commitment to continue to support educational creators around the world, including Indonesia.

"Well, to celebrate national education day, we have again issued a campaign that we have actually carried out since 2022. The campaign is called #SerunyaBelajar on TikTok. We will start this campaign from next week, from May 10 to June 10, 2025," explained Edwin.
