Minister Of State Secretary Says Rules Formation Of 3 Special Units To Increase Investment-Deregulation Is Still Being Formulated
JAKARTA - Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi stated that the rules regarding the formation of three special task forces to increase investment and deregulation are still being formulated. This is because the substance of the regulation involves related ministries/agencies (K/L) to the business and industrial sectors.
Prasetyo explained that the formation of the three task forces aims to improve and facilitate the investment climate, accelerate business licensing, deregulation, and mitigation of termination of employment (PHK).
"Including that we also want to synchronize with friends in the private sector, in the business sector and in the industrial sector, including with fellow labor unions related to the layoff task force and mitigation," Prasetyo said in a voice recording received in Jakarta, Tuesday, April 30, confiscated by Antara.
Previously, President Prabowo Subianto agreed to the establishment of three special task forces as a follow-up after the Indonesian government negotiated a reciprocal tariff policy with top US officials.
The three task forces include the Investment and Economic Security Trade Negotiation Task Force, the Job Opportunities Expansion Task Force and LAYOFFS Mitigation, and the Policy Deregulation Task Force.
Prasetyo added that the government wants the layoff Mitigation Task Force not only to handle cases downstream, but thoroughly, starting from the industrial sector, business, to workers.
"So far, we are still formulating points that will be regulated in the process of deregulation in order to increase the investment climate and accelerate and facilitate business licensing," said Prasetyo.
