2025 Sudirman Cup: Indonesia Qualifies For Quarter Finals
JAKARTA Indonesia has confirmed itself to qualify for the quarter-finals of the 2025 Sudirman Cup after defeating India in the second match of the group stage.
Jonathan Christie and his friends extended their journey in this mixed team tournament thanks to a 4-1 win over India in the Group D continued match on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
This victory made Indonesia one of eight teams that had managed to lock up the knockout round ticket even though they had not played the group's last match.
Indonesia is currently collecting two points from the two matches that have been played. Previously in the first appearance, the Red-White squad had already crushed England without mercy 5-0.
Furthermore, Indonesia will face Denmark in the third or final match of the group phase. Denmark has also locked ticket to the quarter-finals after submerging England 5-0 in the second match.

Victory over England made Denmark move up to the top of the standings. So, clashing with Indonesia will fight for the status of qualifying for the knockout stages as group winners.
The host team and the first seed in China to inhabit Group A have also confirmed their way through to the quarter-finals. In that group they and Thailand could not be dammed by Hong Kong and Algeria.
Tickets in Group B are the same, already pocketed by China Taipei and South Korea. Both countries are difficult to stop by Canada and the Republic of Ceska so they just need to win the group title.
The other two tickets were obtained by the leading teams of Japan and Malaysia in Group C. Both countries succeeded in making Australia and France do not move at all.
