JAKARTA - The results of the latest survey by the Indonesian Political House show that the majority of the public are satisfied with the performance of vice president Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the first half of the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka governments. Based on the survey results, as many as 79.8 percent of the people were satisfied with Gibran's performance.
"As many as 79.8 percent of respondents said they were satisfied with the performance of the vice president Gibran. From that percentage, 39.1 percent admitted that they were quite satisfied, then 31.8 percent said they were satisfied and 8.9 percent were very satisfied. Meanwhile, 16.5 percent of respondents considered dissatisfied, and finally 3.7 percent of respondents considered not knowing or chose not to answer, "said Executive Director of Indonesian Political Houses, Fernando Gold in the launch of the survey results entitled "Public View of the Performance of the Prabowo-Gibran Government in One Semester" in the Semanggi area, Jakarta, Tuesday, April 29.
Fernando said that the majority of the public considered Gibran to be able to complete the performance of President Prabowo Subianto in the first half of the government. A number of variables that made the performance of the vice president Gibran received a positive response from the public, including Gibran, were considered to have succeeded in helping Prabowo in the corruption eradication agenda by 15. 2 percent.
"Publik also assessed that Gibran had helped the government realize several programs slowly as many as 12.9 percent of respondents. Mas Gibran is considered to often provide assistance to grassroots communities with 9.8 percent of respondents, overseeing a free nutritious food program with 7.9 percent," he said.
It's just that, said Fernando, there are still 16.5 percent of the public or the public are not satisfied with the performance of vice president Gibran. Of these, 30.7 respondents considered Gibran not showing the results of his work; then as many as 18.4 percent of respondents considered that his work program had not been realized properly; 16.3 percent of respondents rated Gibran as new in office.
"This is a challenge, but this number is very dynamic and depends on the efforts made by Mas Gibran to be able to accelerate and synergize in order to meet the very large public expectations of the government," said Fernando.
In the survey, respondents also gave an assessment of the figure of Vice President Gibran. From the results of their assessment, 16.1 percent considered Gibran to be a popular figure; then Gibran was also considered nimble and agile as much as 15.2 percent; 12.3 percent of respondents considered Gibran to be able to carry out Prabowo's presidential mandate well.
Then as many as 11.2 percent of respondents had high awareness and concern and 10.9 percent considered Gibran responsive.
On that occasion, Political Economy Analyst Mardiyanto explained that Vice President Rakabuming Raka was able to dismiss the negative sentiments or issues that hit him not by talking, but through action or work. According to Mardiyanto, this Indonesian Political House survey shows that the vice president's role has a positive effect on government performance.
In his view, the intensity is like blusukan, just like Jokowi, one side will expand the spectrum of the public that can be captured by the government. On the other hand, implement a control mechanism on the agenda or implementation of the government's Astacita vision.
"What is interesting about Mas Gibran is his initiative, as is the case with the 'Lapor Mas Vice President' program.' Then the background, which is considered to represent young people, energetics, is the capital to continue the blusukan agenda, to see closely how the social conditions of grassroots communities are. This is strategic as well as important, namely in order to absorb public aspirations, on the other hand, to carry out a control function which of course everything will be reported to Mr. President Prabowo which leads to the government's policy agenda," he explained.
This survey was conducted on April 18-24, 2025. The population in this survey is people over 17 years old or who already have the right to vote and come from 30 provinces in Indonesia. The survey method used is face-to-face interviews.
