Polda Metro Prepares Tens Of Thousands Of Joint Personnel To Secure Labor Day
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya has prepared as many as 13,252 joint personnel to secure International Labor Day activities on Thursday (1/5).
"In this security activity, we involve 13,252 joint personnel consisting of 9,591 Polri personnel, 3,385 TNI personnel and 276 regional government personnel," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Karyoto in the Troop Preparedness Apple in the Context of Security for International Labor Day May Day 2025 at Monas Square, Tuesday, April 29, reported by ANTARA.
Karyoto said that every incident that occurs in Jakarta will be a national public concern, even international and have the potential to trigger domino effects in other areas.
"Therefore, we must not be careless no matter how small, security disturbances in Jakarta can have a broad impact, both socially, politically, and economically," he said.
Karyoto explained that based on the results of early detection, activities in Jakarta this year are divided into two main forms of activity.
"First, why in the Monas area involved around 200,000 people in activities in the form of people's parties and entertainment. Second, demonstrations by certain groups with specific aspirations that have the potential for escalation if they are not well controlled," he said.
Karyoto also explained that in securing this year we face complex challenges.
"The movement of the masses is not only concentrated in Jakarta, but also involves buffer areas such as Banten and West Java. Therefore, cross-regional coordination, solidity between agencies, and individual readiness are the keys to security success," he said.
