8 Detainees Of Lahat Police Escape Broken Walls, 3 Police Guard Sanctions
LaHAT - Lahat Police, South Sumatra, sanctioned three officers on guard when eight detainees escaped from the local detention center.
Lahat Police Chief AKBP Novi Edyanto said his party imposed sanctions on the three officers because they were considered negligent, so they had to undergo detention in a special place (patsus).
"In the context of further investigation, the three guard officers on duty that night have been sanctioned and placed in a special place for examination," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, April 29.
Currently, the investigation of the three is still ongoing. Teams from the South Sumatra Police and Propam Lahat Police are investigating the negligence process that caused the detainees to escape.
"For now, we are continuing to pursue and will not stop until all escaped prisoners can be arrested," he explained.
The Lahat Police special team recaptured three people from eight detainees on behalf of Andre Suwardi, Irpan Suryadi, and Dika Cahyadi. They were arrested in two different locations, namely in Gumai Talang District, Lahat Regency, and Belimbing District, Muara Enim Regency, on Sunday (27/4) at 16.00 WIB.
"The pursuit process is still being carried out intensely. We are trying to quickly arrest those who are still running away," said Lahat Police Chief.
Previously, as many as eight prisoners escaped from the Lahat Police Detention Center (Rutan) on Sunday (27/4), at 03.30 WIB, by breaking through the wall using a modified screwdriver.
From this incident, the Lahat Police quickly formed a special team and led the direct pursuit of escaped prisoners.
