Hasan Nasbi's Controversy Leads To Resigning From PCO
JAKARTA - Hasan Nasbi finally resigned from his position as Head of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) after a series of controversies that caused public unrest. Hasan announced this decision through a voice narrative, confirming that he chose to "resistant" after feeling unable to solve the problem.
"If there is something that I can no longer address or there is a problem beyond my ability, then there is no need to make a fuss. We must know ourselves and make a decision to pull over," Hasan said in a voice message received Tuesday, April 29.
Since the beginning of his tenure, Hasan Nasbi has often been in the spotlight. One of his biggest controversies occurred when he joked about the pig head terror sent to Tempo journalist Francisca Christy Rosana. In a statement deemed insensitive, Hasan said, "Just cooked."
This statement drew widespread criticism. Even President Prabowo Subianto publicly referred to Hasan's words as "teledor and error". In an interview uploaded by the media, Prabowo stated that Hasan regretted the statement. "I think it's a teledor, that's wrong. I think he's sorry too," said Prabowo, Monday (7/4/2025).
