OpenAI Boss Calls ChatGPT 'balt' After Updating GPT-4o Model
JAKARTA OpenAI CEO Sam Altman's statement regarding ChatGPT's current performance is in the spotlight. The reason is, the OpenAI boss calls ChatGPT a chatbot that is 'too disgusting and annoying. "
This happened because the GPT-4o model was updated on April 26. With this increase, ChatGPT is expected to provide a smarter and more personal response or answer. Unfortunately, this change is not in line with the company's expectations.
Shortly after the chatbot was updated, many users said that ChatGPT had too often confirmed their statements or words. This complaint is widely seen in Altman's posts and the OpenAI official admits the problem.
Less than 48 hours after GPT-4o was updated, Altman stated that ChatGPT's response would be more annoying than ever before. With the emergence of this issue, Altman promised to improve its response in the near future.
"The last GPT-4o update has made his personality too cool and annoying (although there are some very good parts), and we are trying to fix it as soon as possible," Altman said via his X account on Monday, April 28.

This response fix didn't go well. OpenAI takes up to a few days to a few weeks to make ChatGPT stop being a courtsy person or praise people too often, regardless of what the user does.
ChatGPT's positive response is called annoying because it doesn't match the situation. For example, when a user shows symptoms of psychosis or other mental illness, ChatGPT continues to give praise.
In another case, ChatGPT responded 'it's amazingly great' when users say they feel like God or the Prophet. ChatGPT even adds, "You stepped into something really big claiming not just a connection to God, but an identity as God."
