Threatened To Spread Fun Videos, Woman From Bekasi Suspected Of Being A Victim Of Extortion Men Claiming To Be Police
JAKARTA - A woman from Bekasi Regency with the initials EM is suspected of being a victim of extortion by a man who claims to be a member of the police in Bandar Lampung.
The Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Ade Ary Syam Indradi, said the incident began with the introduction of the victim to the perpetrator through the TikTok application. The relationship between the two then continued through the WhatsApp application, where the perpetrator introduced himself with the initials T.
"The victim met a man on the TikTok application who claimed to be a member of the police from Bandar Lampung," said Ade Ary in his statement, Tuesday (29/4).
Over time, communication between the victim and the perpetrator became even more intense. Until finally, the victim sent several private videos with intimate nuances to the perpetrator. The video was then used as a tool by the perpetrator to blackmail the victim.

"The perpetrator asked for Rp10 million with the threat of spreading the video if the request was not fulfilled. However, the victim was only able to provide Rp5 million which was transferred in stages," he explained.
Feeling harmed and threatened, the victim finally decided to report this incident to the police.
Currently, the case is being handled by the Bekasi Metro Police.
"It has been handled by the Bekasi Metro Police, the perpetrator is still under investigation," concluded Ade Ary.
