Paula Verhoeven Officially Files An Appeal On Divorce Decision With Baim Wong

JAKARTA - Paula Verhoeven officially filed an appeal against her divorce decision with Baim Wong, which was decided by a panel of judges at the South Jakarta Religious Court (PA).

This was said by Paula's attorney, Alvon Kurnia Palma, who said that the appeal case file had been submitted since Monday, April 28 to the Religious Court and the South Jakarta High Court (PTA).

"We registered the appeal through ecourt yesterday," said Alvon Kurnia Palma to VOI via text message, Tuesday, April 29.

"Then we gave the soft copy case file to PTA through e Court while we gave the hard coffee document to PTA through PA South Jakarta," he continued.

Alvon explained that after submitting the case file, it would be examined first by the South Jakarta Religious Court.

"The next case examination will be carried out by PTA Jakarta," he said.

Previously, Paula had reported the panel of judges at the South Jakarta Religious Court to the Judicial Commission regarding the alleged violation of the code of ethics.

"Here I am present at the Judicial Commission (KY) to report alleged violations of the code of ethics and code of conduct of judges carried out by the panel of judges at the South Jakarta Religious Court who examined and tried my divorce case," said Paula Verhoeven at the Judicial Commission office, Central Jakarta.

He said that the judge's decision was not based on existing evidence, and was wrong in considering the facts at trial.

"In this case, the panel of judges was wrong in taking into account the decision. And also the reported party in deciding not to follow the evidence presented from the facts of the trial," he continued.
