Rosan Reveals 5 Investment Destination Areas In The First Quarter Of 2025

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming / Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) noted that investment realization in the first quarter of 2025 reached Rp465.2 trillion or 24.4 percent of the target set by the government in 2025 of Rp1,905.6 trillion.

Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said the realization of this investment was supported by foreign investment (PMA) and domestic investment (PMDN).

The realization of PMA's investment reached Rp230.4 trillion, equivalent to 49.5 percent, in addition, this figure also increased 12.7 percent on an annual basis (yoy). Meanwhile, the realization of PMDN investment was Rp234.8 trillion or equivalent to 50.5 percent, this figure also rose 19.1 percent on an annual basis (yoy).

"In the first quarter, PMDN contributed higher than PMA, that's if we look at 50.5 percent of PMDN or Rp234.8 trillion and the PMA was Rp230.4 trillion or 49.5 percent," he said at a press conference, Tuesday, April 29.

Rosan conveyed that from the place where the investment in domestic investment (PMDN) was greater than foreign investment (PMA).

"I say this happens not because the PMA has decreased, but because the PMDN has increased much sharper than the increase by PMA," he explained.

Meanwhile, the realization of PMA and PMDN in the first quarter of 2025 was the largest in Jakarta province, valued at IDR 69.8 trillion, an increase of 15.0 percent, West Java was IDR 68.5 trillion, an increase of 14.7 percent, East Java was around IDR 36.0 trillion, an increase of 7.7 percent, Central Sulawesi was IDR 32.7 trillion, an increase of 7.0 percent, and Banten was IDR 31.1 trillion, an increase of 6.7 percent.

Meanwhile, the realization of PMA in the first quarter of 2025 came from West Java province at 2.2 billion US dollars or equivalent to 15.1 percent, Central Sulawesi at 1.9 billion US dollars or equivalent to 13.2 percent, Jakarta at 1.7 billion US dollars or equivalent to 11.9 percent, North Maluku at 1.4 billion US dollars or equivalent to 9.8 percent and Banten at 1.0 billion US dollars or equivalent to 6.9 percent.

Meanwhile, the realization of PMDN in the first quarter of 2025 came from Jakarta province at Rp42.2 trillion or the equivalent of 18.0 percent, West Java at Rp33.8 trillion or the equivalent of 14.4 percent, East Java at Rp22.1 trillion or equivalent to 9.4 percent, Riau at Rp18.0 trillion or equivalent to 7.7 percent, and West Nusa Tenggara at Rp15.1 trillion or equivalent to 6.4 percent.
