2025 Sudirman Cup: Indonesia Vs India Schedule
JAKARTA Indonesia will undergo the second match of the 2025 Sudirman Cup Group D preliminary round against India. The clash took place on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
The match will be held at Xiamen Olympic Sports Center Fenghuang Gymnasium, Xiamen, China. Indonesia is chasing a victory to keep the chance to qualify as group winners.
The series of matches that are so crucial for the two countries will start at 16.00 WIB. This duel will be broadcast live on TVRI Nasional and TVRI Sport.
Head of PBSI's Development and Achievement Division, Eng Hian, said that Jonatan Christie and his friends are targeted to win the match against India later.
"The closest target is to the knockout round by winning the group. Therefore, the match against India is important to win," said Eng Hian in a statement received.

In the previous match, Indonesia successfully beat England with a landslide score of 5-0. This result makes Indonesia now sit comfortably at the top of the group standings.
The five Indonesian representatives who appeared in the match were Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto, Febriana Dwi Puji Kusuma/Amallia Cahaya Pratiwi, Mohammad Zaki Ubaidillah, Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo, and Rinov Rivaldy/Pitha Haningtyas Mentari.
To be able to maintain the top position, Indonesia needs to win against India in this second match. On paper, Indonesia's status as the second seed is very favorite to win.
On the other hand, India needs to pursue a victory against Indonesia so that the chance to the knockout stages remains. The reason is, in the first match against Denmark they were beaten 1-4.
