Xpeng Reveals Future AI And Electric Car Breakthrough At The 2025 Shanghai Auto
JAKARTA Xpeng, China's innovative automotive brand, again shows its superiority in the world of electric vehicles and artificial intelligence, strengthening its position as a global pioneer in AI-based mobility solutions.
XPENG Chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng, emphasized that the company is now not only presenting new products, but also redefining the meaning of an automotive company.
Through our AI Tech Tree, Xpeng builds an integrated ecosystem that combines innovations such as the AI Supercharging 5C battery, the AI Turing chip, and IRON robotics. All of this is designed to create smart mobility solutions that are able to learn, adapt, and improve driving experience," he said in an official statement, Tuesday, April 29.
A year after the success of mass-producing the full-stack AI system, Xpeng is now introducing the latest generation "AI Brain" World Foundation Model. With the revolutionary architecture, the model has 35 times more parameters than conventional VLA (Vision-Language-Action) models, bringing a huge leap in the world of automotive intelligence.
The self-optimizing ability of AI Brain allows real-time adaptation to various road conditions, as well as to pave the way for wider applications in AI-based vehicles, robotics, and flying cars.
One of the main highlights is the launch of Xpeng P7+, the world's first car equipped with AI Supercharging 5C technology. At a press conference, He Xiaopeng introduced Super Long Range Max Flagship Edition which is equipped with advanced supercharging batteries.
With this technology, users can cover a distance of up to 420 km in just 10 minutes of charging, with an impressive energy efficiency of 12.7 kWh per 100 km.

After being officially launched on April 15, 2025 in Hong Kong, Xpeng immediately started global shipments for the latest MPV model, XPENG X9 2025. The model carries 496 refinements, including zero-gravity seats and high-level autonomous driving technology.
In just seven days, the X9 order broke through to 6,000 units, setting a new record for the sale of pure electric MPVs. During the first quarter of 2025, Xpeng shipped 94,008 units of vehicles, including 7,615 units for the international market' 370 percent jump over the same period last year.
Being the main magnet at Auto Shanghai 2025, Xpeng introduces an IRON humanoid robot that amazes visitors. With a height of 178 cm and 22 degrees of freedom of movement in his hands, IRON displays extraordinary sophistication, ranging from natural conversations thanks to AI's smart cockpit support to fine movements and manipulation of high-precision objects.
Through this full-stack robotic platform, Xpeng proves that its innovation extends far beyond the auto industry.
