Ensure Operating Reliability, SIG Increases Use Of Domestic Products

JAKARTA - The support of PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) for the progress of the country's independent and competitive industries is again proven by the Company's domestic product expenditure in 2024 which reached IDR 23.06 trillion or the equivalent of 93.01 percent of the total expenditure for goods and services of IDR 24.79 trillion. This achievement is a form of GIS's contribution to the efforts of the Indonesian Government in increasing national economic growth in the midst of challenging global situations.

SIG's Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni said, spending on domestic products is a strategic step for GIS which not only helps develop local businesses, but also maintains the reliability of operations due to procurement sourced from within the country or locally.

"The country's advanced and developing industries will drive national economic growth, create jobs, and increase people's income and welfare," said Vita Mahreyni, in a statement, Monday, April 28.

In particular, Vita Mahreyni underlined that the GIS program for increasing downstreaming and industrialization in the country through the use of local spare parts based on SME empowerment and cooperation with domestic industries continues to show proud achievements. In 2024, the realization of the use of local spare parts throughout the GIS plant increased significantly by 20.70 percent or Rp787 billion compared to Rp652 billion in 2023, even up 157 percent from the 2020 baseline of Rp306 billion.

This achievement is SIG's real support for Asta Cita Presiden Prabowo Subianto in Increasing Downstreaming and Industrialization to Increase Domestic Added Value.

It does not stop there, the number of SMEs assisted by SIG that have succeeded in producing spare parts for SIG factories has also increased to 17 SMEs from the previous 8 SMEs. This increase cannot be separated from the comprehensive assistance carried out by GIS, ranging from product specifications education, prototype manufacturing, trial process, to performance tests at the GIS factory.

These 17 SMEs include PT Papaja Maju Mandiri, PT 3S International, PT Kawani Tekno Nusantara, PT Bimuda Karya Teknik, PT Sari Teknindo Perkasa, CV Desra Teknik, PT Aneka Mitra Indoguna, PT Ganding Toolsindo, PT Cahaya Abadi Technic, CV Rejeki Abadi Machinery, PT Putra Bungsu Makmur, PT Baja Kurnia, PT Kito Multi Industri, PT Utama Karya Techindo, PT Harapan Jaya Globalindo, PT Granada Andalusia Perkasa, and PT Mustajaya.

Through the substitution program for imported parts by switching to SME-based products, SIG creates a mutually beneficial sustainable business ecosystem. GIS can reduce dependence on imported products by obtaining technical and economical reliable spare parts products. On the other hand, SME activists get the opportunity to become part of the Company's supply chain, as well as at the same time, increase their competitiveness in facing business competition," said Vita Mahreyni.
