Carlo Ancelotti Prepares For Talks Out Of Real Madrid
JAKARTA - Carlo Ancelotti will meet with Real Madrid President Florentino Perez in the coming days to discuss the departure of the coach from the club. The information was reported by an unnamed ESPN source.
Real Madrid were defeated by Barcelona 2-3 after an extension in the Copa del Rey final on Sunday, April 27, 2025, early morning WIB, following their elimination from the Champions League quarter-finals - losing 1-5 on aggregate from - early this month.
Then, Los Blancos remain four points adrift of La Liga leaders, Barcelona, with five games remaining.
Ancelotti has a contract at Real Madrid until 2026, but has faced constant speculation about his future throughout the season.
ESPN reported last week that talks had resumed between the Brazilian Football Federation (CBF) and Ancelotti's camp regarding the takeover of Brazil's National Team.

Regarding the talks between Ancelotti and Perez, it is rumored that the two will meet in the next few days. The expected outcome is an agreement for the coach to leave the club after the last La Liga game of the season against Real Sociedad.
Ancelotti is one of the most successful coaches in Real Madrid history. He won three Champions Leagues and two La Liga titles in two terms at the Santiago Bernabeu.

On April 19, 2025, the Italian coach admitted that he and the club would analyze various things at the end of the season.
He did not confirm he would be responsible for this summer's Club World Cup campaign.

Meanwhile, the ESPN source did not confirm who would replace Ancelotti despite the shortest possible scenario - with the start of the Club World Cup on June 18, 2025 - meaning temporary appointment from within, such as the Director of Football Santiago Solari, Castilla coach Raul Gonzalez, or U-19 coach, Alvaro Arbeloa.
