Ask For SOE Directors To Be Evaluated, Prabowo: The Lazy To Replace
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto asked all directors of state-owned enterprises (BUMN) to abandon misappropriation practices that are considered less efficient or incorrect.
This was conveyed by Prabowo at the Town Hall Meeting of the Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara). The event was held behind closed doors at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC).
"I ask on behalf of the nation and the people, I ask all directors, do their best, leave old practices that may be less efficient or there are practices that are not true, must be abandoned," he told reporters, Monday, April 28.
Prabowo also asked the Anagata Nusantara Power Investment Management Agency (BPI Danantara) to conduct a thorough evaluation of the performance, integrity, and achievements of SOE directors.
Currently, 844 SOEs including their children and grandchildren have officially joined the Danantara as of March 21, 2025.
Furthermore, Prabowo said that if directors were found who did not excel, lacked discipline, or abused their authority and facilities, they needed to be replaced.

Prabowo also emphasized that in the replacement process, promotions were carried out based on professionalism, not on the basis of ethnicity, religion, race, background, or political affiliation.
"I said, don't vote on the basis of ethnicity, religion, race, background, or on the basis of political parties. No, this must be Indonesian children who work as much as possible for the Indonesian people. I think that was my message earlier, "he said.
