2025 Sudirman Cup: Indonesia Vs India, Draw Power
JAKARTA To the Development and Achievement Division of PBSI, Eng Hian, assessed that Indonesia and India have a very balanced strength to beat each other in the second match of the 2025 Sudirman Cup group.
Indonesia and India are scheduled to play the second match of Group D of the mixed team tournament on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. Victory will open the chance for Garuda to qualify for the knockout phase as group winners.
Eng Hian said that on paper, Indonesia only has advantages in the men's and women's doubles sector, so the coaching team needs to be observant in determining the line-up to stem India.
"You could say the men's singles, women's singles, and mixed doubles numbers, Indonesia's strength with India is balanced," said Eng Hian in a statement received from PBSI Public Relations.

The two countries had previously both secured victory in the first match. Indonesia managed to beat England, while India managed to beat Denmark.
The victory made Indonesia and India both collect one point. However, the Garuda Squad has the right to occupy the top position because of a 5-0 victory against England.
Eng Hian said that after all Indonesia would try to win the match against India so as to keep the chance of qualifying for the knockout round as group winners.
"The closest target is to go to the knockout stages by winning the group. Therefore, the match against India is important to win," he said.
Indonesia is likely to rotate on the line-up against India later. Men's singles Jonatan Christie, who previously did not play against England, is likely to be installed.
Putri Kusuma Wardani is also likely to get minutes to play in the match against India. She will replace her colleague Ester Nurumi Tri Wardoyo, who is the second women's singles.
Rotation is also possible in women's doubles and mixes. As for the men's doubles, the pair Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto may still return to being a mainstay.
Indonesia versus India will take place at the Xiamen Olympic Sports Center Fenghuang Gymnasium, Xiamen, China. The series of matches will start at 16.00 WIB.
