WhatsApp Develops Message Reaction Feature With Stickers

JAKARTA After adding an emoji option to react to messages, WhatsApp will now add an option to provide a sticker reaction. This option is in the development stage.

According to WABetaInfo's findings, this feature is being developed in version 2.25.13.23 for WhatsApp beta users on Android. With this feature, reactions to messages will not be limited to emojis.

In the past, WhatsApp limited reactions to default emojis. In the next few updates, WhatsApp includes more emoji options so users can express themselves better.

It seems, WhatsApp feels that this reaction emoji is still not enough so WhatsApp will display a choice of stickers as a reaction. The use of the sticker will also not be above. Users can use official stickers from the WhatsApp store or homemade stickers.

Interestingly, the reaction to this message is not limited to ordinary images. Users can use animated stickers that move like those made by Lottie Framework. Unfortunately, it is not yet known whether the user will get special effects when eating an animated sticker.

By presenting more reaction options, WhatsApp users can be more expressive and creative. Conversations in chat rooms, both private and group, will also become more lively thanks to this feature.

It is not certain when this feature will be available. However, according to WABetaInfo's monitoring, this feature is likely to be rolled out in the upcoming update. This feature can also be launched later because of one thing or another that WhatsApp does not disclose.
