Ahead Of Its Launch, Take A Peek At The Specifications Of The Electric Range Rover With A Tempuh Distance Of 482 Km

JAKARTA The Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is preparing to launch the Range Rover Electric in the near future, in line with its commitment to expanding the ranks of environmentally friendly vehicles in the global market. The electric SUV is rumored to have completed its second round of winter trials ahead of its launch.

In the testing process, this model has to go through a wide range of extreme terrain, ranging from high-temperature sand to the extreme freezing temperature. The main focus of testing is ensuring the performance of the latest battery thermal management systems, including how effectively the system heats the cabin and maintains fast charging performance at temperatures below zero degrees.

After going through various resistance tests, the Range Rover Electric is said to still have capabilities that are no less formidable than the internal combustion engine (ICE) version.

Launching from Autocar, Monday, April 28, JLR confirmed that the Range Rover Electric will be equipped with a battery with a capacity of 117 kWh, developed independently with 344 prismatic cells with a voltage of 800V. Although it has not announced an official figure for the distance, such a capacity is estimated to be able to carry this vehicle more than 300 miles or about 482 km in a single full charge.

Interestingly, Range Rover Electric will continue to maintain the iconic design of the gasoline-engined version, so the main difference lies only in the kitchen. Even though the complete performance specifications have not been released, JLR ensures that this electric model will have a performance comparable to the V8 engine variant, which is about 523 hp of power, equivalent to the Range Rover ICE currently circulating.

The electric SUV is also expected to carry a dual-motor drive system, which allows four-wheel drive capabilities to be more optimal and is equipped with a torque vector system to increase its off-road potential.
