Foreign Minister Lavrov Ensures Russia Will Continue To Attack Ukrainian Military Locations
JAKARTA - Russia will continue to target locations used by the Ukrainian military, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview broadcast on Sunday, as Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported Russia had carried out 70 attacks.
Foreign Minister Lavrov said the deadly Russian missile attack on a residential building in Kyiv last week was not targeted at a "truly civilian" target.
"We will continue to target locations used by the Ukrainian military, by several mercenaries from foreign countries and by instructors officially sent by Europe to help target Russian civilian locations," Foreign Minister Lavrov said at CBS' "Face the Nation" event.
The attack, which killed at least 12 people, drew a rare rebuke against Russian President Vladimir Putin of US President Donald Trump on Friday on social media, "Vladimir, STOPPED."
President Zelensky, who met with President Trump in Rome on Saturday before Pope Francis' funeral, wrote on Telegram, his top military commander reported Russia had carried out nearly 70 attacks on Sunday. He said the situation was still difficult.
"The situation at the forefront and real activity of the Russian army proves that there is currently not enough pressure on Russia from the world to end this war," he wrote on Sunday.

He added that Moscow would be willing to store enriched Iranian nuclear material if the United States and Iran believed it would be useful.
