Bimbim Slank Explains The Chronology Of Bunda Iffet's Departure

JAKARTA - Iffet Veceha alias Bunda Iffet, the mother of Bimbim and former manager of Slank, died on Saturday, April 26 at 22:42 WIB, and was buried at the Karet Bivak TPU, Central Jakarta Sunday (27/4) afternoon.

The departure of Mother Iffet is a sorrow for the big family of Slank and many Indonesian musicians who have grown and grew up in Gang Potlot (Slank Headquarters).

Bimbim stated that her mother breathed her last at her residence, surrounded by her beloved family.

The Slank drummer said that Mother Iffet had been treated for several days in the hospital due to her health condition.

"Mother died last night, at 22.42 WIB, after Monday morning suddenly sleep didn't wake up. Usually at 8-9 it was already in a wheelchair, to the house next door to sunbathe, but this didn't wake up. We were afraid, we finally took him to the hospital," said Bimbim to the media crew after the funeral procession for Mother Iffet.

After being taken to the hospital, said Bimbim, Mother Iffet regained consciousness the next day and began to communicate normally with her family. However, the doctor again evacuated her to the HCU or the High Level Intensive Care Unit.

"Actually, on the second day there was nothing, but on the sixth day you had to enter the HCU," said Bimbim.

With not good enough conditions, Mother Iffet asked her family to return home. As already knew that the time was not long before, she chose to breathe her last at her residence.

"There, two days earlier we also asked to go home. Finally we beat it, just go home," said Bimbim. And according to the doctor, the risk might be that Mother didn't come home, but Mother was there to survive, as she wanted, finally arrived home, there were still two hours to say goodbye, then died.

The 58-year-old musician said there was no history of the mother's specific illness, but that she was no longer young, she had to deal with several health problems.

"There is no disease. Parents sometimes go up sugar (blood), sometimes high blood pressure. It's 87 years old, right," he concluded.
