Tangerang City Government And Apjatel Relocation Of Semrawut Cables In Batuceper Underground

The Tangerang City Government together with the Telecommunication Network Operators Association (Apjatel) will carry out the process of relocating and tidying up underground aerial cables at locations that require priority handling such as on Jalan Lio Baru Batuceper.

"On Jalan Lio Baru Batuceper, there are 12 air cable providers who will be relocated underground because their conditions interfere with public security, order and comfort," said Head of the Tangerang City Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR) Office, Taufik Syahzaeni in Tangerang, quoted by Antara, Sunday, April 27.

Taufik said that currently the Tangerang City Government has entered the administrative licensing stage to relocate the aerial cables underground as planned.

"Apjatel fully supports this control step by conducting a joint inventory while facilitating relocation on selected roads. The target itself can be fully disciplined this year," said Taufik.

The Tangerang City Government has also prepared long-term handling to ensure that the relocation and arrangement of air cables runs optimally, such as conducting location studies that will be carried out in stages in a number of areas.

Not only that, the Tangerang City Government has limited the installation of new aerial cables to minimize the potential for security disturbances, comfort and mutual order that harm the community.

"We have not issued recommendations for installing aerial cables in areas of road-owned space (rumija), now is also the time for decisive steps to curb the recent installation of aerial cables," he said.
