Lawyers Arrested In Senen, Caught Carrying Drugs, Illegal Guns, And Assembled Softguns
The Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) arrested a lawyer with the initials S (31) because he was caught carrying an illegal firearm and a homemade airsoft gun.
Not only that, the suspect also brought methamphetamine and marijuana and tested positive for drugs. The suspect was arrested in the Senen area, Central Jakarta, after being involved in an accident.
Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro said the suspect's arrest was made on the report of a public transport driver who said the suspect was carrying a firearm.
"When examined by members, a 7.65 mm caliber Makarov firearm was found without an official permit tucked into the perpetrator's body," said Kombes Susatyo when confirmed, Sunday, April 27.
The suspect was then secured by police officers. Furthermore, during further investigation, investigators again found a number of other evidences in the suspect's car.
"1 emisi long-barreled weapon (local Dina), 1 unit of an HS type airsoft gun, 1 clip of methamphetamine, 1 clip of marijuana and 1 pipette," he said.
Not only that, the police also confiscated 2 packs of Alprazolam 1 mg of illegal hard drugs, 7 tablets of Ranitidine HCl 150 mg, 1 shot glue, 6 mobile phones, 1 Daihatsu Sigra vehicle with number B 2033 KKS, 1 passport in S's name.

Furthermore, the police confiscated 3 units of wallets, 1 small bag, 1 gas lighter, 3 pens, 1 Letter L key and 1 hoster leg.
"The results of the urine test show that S is positive for consuming methamphetamine (methamphetamine), marijuana (THC), and drugs containing benzodiazepine," he said.
For his actions, the suspect with the initials S was charged with multiple articles, namely Article 1 Paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law Number 12 of 1951 concerning the possession of illegal firearms, with the threat of life imprisonment or a maximum prison sentence of 20 years.
Then Article 112 Paragraph (1) and (2) and Article 127 Paragraph (1) letter a of Law Number 35 Year 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a minimum prison sentence of 4 years and a maximum of 12 years, as well as a fine of at least Rp 800 million and a maximum of Rp 8 billion.
"The perpetrator carried firearms without permission and used drugs. This is a serious violation that could threaten the security of the community," he said.
