Abdul Somad Appointed As Chair Of PCNU Bogor Regency 2025-2030

JAKARTA - The XII Branch Conference (Konfercab) of the Bogor Regency Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) Branch Management at the Bigland Sentul Hotel, Bogor, West Java, on Saturday, April 26 evening until Sunday, April 27 early morning, appointed Abdul Somad as Chairman of Tanfidziyah for the solemn period of 2025-2030.

Quoted by Antara, Abdul Somad was elected as Chair of Tanfidziyah through a direct two-stage election. In the first stage, the election for the candidate for Chairman of Tanfidziyah resulted in the following votes: KH Abbas Ma'ruf won 7 votes, Abdul Somad 17 votes, and Samsyul Rizal 14 votes.

A total of 38 votes from the musyawirin, namely the heads of MWC NU from all sub-districts in Bogor Regency.

At this stage, KH Abbas Ma'ruf was declared ineligible for minimal support, which is 30 percent of the total votes or 12 votes.

The plenary session chaired directly by the Chairman of PBNU for Membership and Cadreization, KH Miftah Faqih appointed Abdul Somad and Syamsul Rizal as Candidates for Chairman of Tanfidzziyah.

In the second stage, Abdul Somad won 24 votes, while Samsyul Rizal received 14 votes. With a difference of 10 votes, Abdul Somad was officially elected as Chairman of the Bogor Regency PCNU Tanfidziyah for the period 2025-2030.

The determination of the results of the Conference was carried out on Sunday 27 April at 01.34 WIB.

"I am grateful and ask for the guidance of the kiai so that they can carry out the mandate of this confbercab, as well as carry out the regulations (communication regulations) and all organizational regulations," said Abdul Somad after being appointed.

Abdul Somad previously served as Secretary of PCNU Bogor Regency. In his remarks, he asked for the support of Nahdliyyin residents in Bumi Tegar Beliman to realize various organizational programs, including establishing a PCNU secretariat in Bogor Regency that was certified on behalf of NU, building madrasas, prime clinics, and establishing an NU-owned business entity.

In addition, he is also targeting the construction of a secretariat for all NU MWCs in Bogor Regency during his leadership for the next five years.

"This is a tough mandate. I ask for prayers and support so that I can carry out this task as well as possible," he said.

In addition, the Bogor Regency PCNU XII Conference also appointed KH Romdon as Rais Syuriah whose election was carried out through the Ahlul Halli wal Aqdi deliberation mechanism, consisting of five kiai of Rais Syuriah's choice of 38 NU Deputy Branch Councils (MWC) in Bogor Regency.
