Rich Brian Filled His Head Via Single And MV Butterfly

JAKARTA - Rich Brian released the latest Butterfly single to his third studio album later. His own album, WHERE IS MY HEAD? will officially launch on May 23.

Brian had leaked this single on the Twitch livestream with d4vd some time ago. The lyrics highlight Rich Brain's artistic growth and creative evolution, a major theme from WHERE IS MY HEAD?.

This single describes the emotional chaos of a toxic relationship, in which Brian struggles and considers leaving him. Musically, the song was developed from the analog sound of the Little Ray of Light's main single, which is once again produced by Brian himself.

"This is one of the most beautiful & most difficult songs I've ever composed, I've written about someone who shows so many shortcomings of me that I don't know about, basically I'm talking about how inferior I am to the beat of music that sounds like Human Nature with 808s," Rich Brian said of Single Butterfly in a written statement, April 25.

This song comes with the music video directed by Jared Hogan and serves as a visual continuation of the previous contemplative single Little Ray of Light, which this time was told from the maestro's point of view, the 'dalang' controlling 'Brian' in the previous music video.

This video features Brian the maestro who leads half-human and half-animal ensembles cinematically. He balances two versions of himself romantic and introspective and brave and filterless at the climax of the narrative, featuring his growth as a musician and celebrity.

Both Butterfly and Little Ray of Light mark a bold introduction to one of the brightest stars in the 2010s by someone who has been around for nearly 6 years which has not been heard for the past 3 years.

Where IS MY HEAD? became Rich Brian's first album since 2019, this Indonesian-born musician re-defined and surprisingly reorganized his vision. He asked: 'How can I continue to make music that I love more than anything?' In WHEE IS MY HEAD? Rich Brian answers these questions in every song.
