Nissan Cancels Launching Two US Assembled EV Sedans, This Is The Cause

JAKARTA - Nissan is one of the automotive manufacturers who is experiencing many obstacles.

After the news of the merger with Honda has the potential to be canceled, this manufacturer intends to stop one of its future plans.

It was reported that Automotive News, which was rewritten on Saturday, April 26, the manufacturer based in Yokohama, Japan will cancel presenting two of the latest sedan electric vehicles (EVs) for the United States (US) market.

The news leaked in a memo to suppliers and a Nissan spokesman confirmed this by mentioning a change in conditions in the industrial market.

Unfortunately, Nissan did not want to provide further responses regarding this matter.

Although the reason behind this decision is not yet known, it is estimated that this step was taken not because of the tariff launched by US President Donald Trump.

Nissan has been considering the plan for some time. In January 2024, the planned market launch for 2025 was postponed by a year.

One of the sedans that will be launched is the LZ1F code which is expected to launch at the end of 2026.

The second model is a derivative of the Infiniti brand under the code name LZ1E which will follow in 2027.
