Performance At The Beginning Of The Year Exceeds Target, PT KPI Pursues Achievement In 2025

JAKARTA - PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional (KPI) recorded a brilliant operational performance of oil currents in early 2025.

In the first quarter of 2025, the operational aspect of KPI showed an upward trend and exceeded the previously set target.

KPI Corporate Secretary Hermansyah Y Nasroen said related to the total amount of oil processed by its operating unit, until March 2025, the realization of the total KPI (RTI) intake was at 78 million barrels.

This figure is above the target of the company's work plan and budget (RKAP) which is 73.2 million barrels.

"This shows that the achievement of the performance of the amount of oil processed by KPI is at 106 percent of the RKAP target until March 2025," Hermansyah said in a statement in Jakarta, Saturday.

The same achievement was also recorded in the volume of variable products (VVP) produced by the KPI refinery.

The volume of oil products produced by refineries shows an increasing trend.

According to him, just like RTI, the realization of VVP until March 2025 also exceeded the target set, which was 65.7 million barrels.

"This figure is above the original target, which is 60.1 million barrels, which means that it has succeeded in breaking the RKAP target until March 2025, which is 109 percent," said Hermansyah.

Regarding the achievements above, he said this was a positive signal for KPI in starting 2025.

"In addition to the HSSE aspect, this achievement can of course also be achieved with the ability of KPI in maintaining refinery reliability. The refinery operation must be ensured to run safely and smoothly and produce predetermined products," said Hermansyah.

To measure the reliability of the refinery to operating planning, KPI uses the plant availability factor (PAF) indicator.

The value of the refinery PAF is always maintained by more than 99 percent through the implementation of routine and non-routine care (turn around), digitizing refineries, and implementing the asset integrity management system (AIMS).

"The achievement of PAF in the first quarter of 2025, KPI is able to reach 99.83 percent. This figure is above the set target," said Hermansyah.

He continued another important indicator in assessing the performance of the refinery is the intensity index of energy use for production at the refinery or Energy Intensity Index (EII).

For the January-March 2025 period, the number of KPI EII reached 106.18.

Regarding all these things, Hermansyah hopes that the achievements that have been made by KPI at the beginning of this year can be improved in the following months.

According to him, one of the main keys in improving future performance is the establishment of good cooperation between all parties at KPI and external support.

"Synergy and collaboration between all parties, not only internal but also stakeholders, will be the main capital to answer all challenges," said Hermansyah.
