The TNI Commander Accompany President Jokowi Gathering With The Family Of KRI Nanggala-402 Soldiers
JAKARTA - TNI Commander Marshal TNI Hadi Tjahjanto, SIP, accompanied the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Ir. H. Joko Widodo, gathering with the families of Indonesian Navy Soldiers who died with the KRI Nanggala-402 Submarine, at the Juanda Navy Air Base Hangar, Sidoarjo, East Java, Thursday, April 29.
On arrival at the Juanda Navy Air Base, President Jokowi was immediately greeted by the TNI Commander, National Police Chief, Chief of Indonesian Navy, and all other officials and entourage directly to the Juanda Air Force Hangar to meet with representatives of the families of the victims of KRI Nanggala-402 who died in Bali waters.
In his remarks, the President again expressed his deep sorrow for the death of the nation's patriots.
"First of all, on behalf of the country, the government, my people, I would like to express my deep sorrow for the death of the patriots of the KRI Nanggala-402. May their spirits be accepted by His side, given the best place, their sins will be forgiven", said the President.
President Joko Widodo also said that the government gave an award for promotion to one level higher to the KRI Nanggala-402 crew who died for their sacrifice to the country. In addition, the children of the crew members will also receive special attention from the state so that they can receive education up to college.
"For the sons and daughters of all mothers, it will be regulated by the state so that they can go to university. Earlier I conveyed to the Commander and Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy so that all arrangements and management of the mechanism are arranged to be neat", he said.
In addition, the government will also build houses for the families of the victims of KRI Nanggala-402. As for the location of the house, the President will give freedom to the families of the victims to decide.
"In the future, ladies and gentlemen, we will also build a house where we will follow all of the women. Whatever it can be in Gresik, Sidoarjo, or elsewhere. This mechanism will help the Chief of Staff of the Indonesian Navy and the Commander to arrange it as soon as possible so that soon we can carry it out", he said.
Also attending the gathering with the families of KRI Nanggala-402 soldiers included the Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament Puan Maharani, Indonesian Defense Minister Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret) Prabowo Subianto, Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini, Minister of Ministry of Public Works and Housing Ir. Mochamad Basuki Hadimoeljono, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Chief of Admiral Yudo Margono and East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa.
