Yellow Light For Indonesia, Legislator Gerindra Urges Police To Uncover The Identity Of The Quarantine Mafia In Soekarno-Hatta Airport
JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives Habiburokhman asked the Indonesian police to investigate the quarantine mafia case at Soekarno-Hatta Airport.
According to him, this case is not just a violation of ordinary health protocols but has endangered the safety of the community.
"We know, like in India, the COVID-19 tsunami could occur because it is not strict in controlling the community", said Habiburokhman, Thursday, April 29.
Concerned about collusion with the authorities, the Gerindra politician assessed that the parties involved should announce their agencies and identities.
"It must be the mafia there. If the apparatus can be bought, then relax their supervision, I think this is our yellow light. So that's why the people have to be clear, announce who, whose name is identity, which institution should be processed legally", he explained.
Habiburokhman explained that these mafias were not only charged with the health quarantine article but there were also indications of document forgery.
"It could also be a criminal act of forgery as regulated in Article 263 of the Criminal Code. I suspect document forgery must have occurred. People who have not been tested or tested positive for COVID can get away. Because of the bribery, there must be some people working together to pass this", he said.
Meanwhile, Polda Metro Jaya is still investigating the case of the quarantine mafia that passed JD, an Indonesian citizen who just returned from India, without passing the health protocol via Soekarno-Hatta Airport. Currently, 4 people have become suspects, namely JD, S, RW, and GC.
The GC suspect is a conspiracy with suspects S and RW, whose role is to pass JD into Indonesia without going through quarantine.
