Detained For Drugs, Fachry Albar Admits To Overcoming Life Pressure

JAKARTA After being arrested on Sunday night, actor Fachry Albar or FA was officially detained by the West Jakarta Metro Police regarding a drug abuse case. The legal process against the FA is now entering the stage of transferring files to the prosecutor's office.

"Then today, brother FA (Fachry Albar) has been detained for the Narcotics Unit to complete the case file and we will transfer the case files to the Prosecutor," said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Twedi Aditya Bennyahdi at the West Jakarta Metro Police, Thursday, April 24.

Twedi explained that Fachry's use of drugs was based on personal reasons to overcome the pressures of life and work he lived.

"For this reason, personal needs, to calm the mind by living his life and work," he continued.

Meanwhile, until now investigators are still investigating where Facchry got the drugs. The police team is investigating the source of the evidence.

"(The origin of drugs) we are still investigating, the team is trying to find out where the source of the goods came from," he said.

When the arrests were made in the Lebak Bulus area, Cilandak, South Jakarta, the FA was said to be not carrying out suspicious activities and in a calm condition.

"When the officer came to the location where he was arrested, the person concerned was already done, he was in a state of rest," concluded West Jakarta Metro Police Head of Narcotics Investigation Unit, Police Commissioner Vernal Armando Sambo.

For information, this is the third case of Fachry Albar being caught in a drug abuse case. First in 2007, at that time cocaine and methamphetamine were found in Fachry's room when the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) searched his father's house, Ahmad Albar. He was on the wanted list (DPO) before finally turning himself in November 2007.

Then in 2018, Fachry was arrested at his home with evidence of methamphetamine weighing 0.8 grams, 13 Dumalid tablets, and marijuana butts. At that time, Fachry was sentenced to 7 months of rehabilitation at the Drug Addiction Hospital (RSKO) in Cibubur.
