Accept Student Demonstration Action, Bogor City DPRD Fights For Aspiration

BOGOR - The Bogor City DPRD continues to be committed to carrying out its mandate as a representative of the people by accepting the aspirations and demands of the mass demonstrations that have been involved in the Bogor Defending Alliance, Thursday, April 27.

Although the riots had occurred with the burning of party attributes in the Bogor City DPRD building, the aspirations of dozens of students were received directly by the Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman Adil who was accompanied by Deputy Chair I of the Bogor City DPRD, M. Rusli Prihatvy, Chairman of the BK, Safrudin Bima, Chairman of Commission I, Karnain Asyhar, Deputy Chairman of Commission II, Bennnu Argoebie, members of Commission III, Subhan and Abdul Rosyid.

The students clearly conveyed their rejection of the ratification of the TNI Law Revision, TNI immunity, as well as asking the government to immediately ratify the Draft Law on the confiscation of assets, evaluate the total free nutritious eating program (MBG) and resolve gross human rights violations.

In front of all students, Adityawarman expressed his firm stance that the Bogor City DPRD would fight for its aspirations by conveying it to the central government through the DPR-RI.

"We promise, God willing, we will directly convey the aspirations of Bogor students to the DPR-RI," said Adit.

After that, the leadership and members of the Bogor City DPRD symbolically accepted the demands of the mass action.

Previously, a wave of rejections to ratify the Revision of Law Number 34 of 2004 concerning the Indonesian National Army (TNI) occurred in Bogor City. The mass of action who are members of the HMI MPO Bogor Branch held a demonstration in front of the Bogor City DPRD building, Monday (24/3/2025).

Demonstrations began with groups of students conducting speeches and burning tires in front of the DPRD gates.

Seeing the hotter conditions, the Chairman of the Honorary Board (BK) of the Bogor City DPRD, Safrudin Bima, accompanied by members of Commission I of the Bogor City DPRD, Sugeng Teguh Santoso, Tri Kisowo Jumino and Fajar Muhammad Nur and Secretary of Commission IV, Juhana, immediately met the protesters.

Safrudin emphasized to the mass of action that the Bogor City DPRD will participate in fighting for the aspirations of students by reporting actions and demands at the Bogor City DPRD Deliberative Body (Bamus) meeting, which will be followed up by the Bogor City DPRD agency by sending a letter to the central government and DPR-RI.

"We will of course follow up on the aspirations of these students by submitting them at the Banmus meeting later. We will also send a letter to the center of this demand," said Safrudin.

At the same location, Sugeng Teguh Santoso, asked the students to also take part in the struggle through a judicial review at the Constitutional Court (MK).

The man who is familiarly called STS said that currently there are seven students from the University of Indonesia who are submitting material tests at the Constitutional Court and asked students in Bogor to support the movement.

"Because there are many ways to show struggle. One of them is through the Constitutional Court. Let's support those who are struggling in the Constitutional Court so that our movement can produce positive results," said STS.

After the mass action was accepted, the group of students dispersed conducively.
