Vice President Gibran Attends The Funeral Of The Mother Of The Army Chief Of Staff Maruli, In San Diego Hills Karawang
JAKARTA - Vice President (Vice President) Gibran Rakabuming Raka attended the funeral of the late Tiobonur Silalahi, the mother of the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Maruli Simanjuntak, at San Diego Hills Memorial Park, Karawang, West Java, Thursday 24 April.
Based on information received via Antara, Gibran arrived at the burial site at around 09.30 WIB.
The vice president was greeted by a number of officials, including Deputy Minister of Agriculture Doni Hermawan, Governor of West Java Dedi Mulyadi, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and Central Commander of Infantry Armed Forces (Danpusenif) Major General TNI Iwan Setiawan.
The funeral procession is solemn and full of emotion. On this occasion, the Vice President prayed that the deceased would have the best place in the side of God Almighty.

Gibran said that the figure of a mother is the main foundation in shaping her children's values, determination and integrity.
The Vice President views that the figure of the late Tiobonur Silalahi is reflected in the sincerity of a mother's dedication which is the pillar behind the success of General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak in pursuing his military career.
According to him, Tiobonur is a mother figure who has educated and raised one of the nation's best sons, who now bears great responsibility as the highest leader in the Indonesian Army.
Before leaving the burial location, the Vice President carried out a procession of sowing flowers on the tomb, as a form of final respect and deep condolences.
The late Tiobonur Silalahi died on Monday, April 21 at 15.15 WIB at Kawaluyan Hospital, Baru Parahyangan City, Padalarang, West Java.
