Wamenkomdigi Invites MASTEL To Collaborate To Create A Healthy Telecommunications Industry
JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria appreciates the active role and invites the Indonesian Telematics Society (Mastel) to continue collaborating in developing a healthy telecommunications sector.
Because according to Nezar, the role of MASTEL is very important as one of the non-profit institutions that is a forum for digital industry stakeholders in Indonesia.
"Of course we need to continue this collaboration because the work has not been completed, especially to increase the scope of 5G which is currently only around 4.44 percent," said Nezar in his official broadcast.
In accordance with the 2045 Indonesia Digital Vision (VID), the Government is building a digital sector by relying on four pillars of digital transformation, namely digital infrastructure, digital society, digital economy and digital government.
For digital infrastructure, the government must ensure 100 percent of residential areas in Indonesia are covered by high-speed internet.
"We hope to get to 100 Gbps and to get there I think we need quite intense collaboration in the ecosystem in Mastel," he explained.
As for the digital community, Nezar stated that the Ministry of Communication and Industry's efforts to improve the digital literacy ability of the community so that they can participate more actively in the adoption of new technology.

"Then no less important is the digital economy, we must strengthen the economic ecosystem strengthened by digital actors and pay attention to MSMEs that adopt new technology," he said.
As for the pillars of digital government, Nezar Patria assessed the important meaning of hard work in the public service sector in order to anticipate the rapid development of technology.
Although there are still many challenges to make it happen, Nezar believes collaboration with the country's digital industry ecosystem can help realize the 2045 VID.
