Wamenkop Supports Cooperatives To Increase Milk Processing Houses In The Regions For The MBG Program
Deputy Minister of Cooperatives (Wamenkop) Ferry Juliantono expressed his readiness to help increase the number of dairy processing sites belonging to cooperatives throughout Indonesia.
"The reason is, this cooperative-owned Flat that serves kitchens in the Free Nutrition Food program," said the Deputy Minister of Cooperatives, at the inauguration ceremony of the Sentul Unit Flats owned by the Kujang Sauyunan Consumer Cooperative Berdikari, in Babakan Madang, Bogor Regency, Tuesday, April 22.
Ferry also shared his experience at Boyolali regarding the chaos of local farmers' milk. At that time, said the Deputy Minister of Cooperatives, many milk products from farmers and cooperatives were not absorbed by the Dairy Industry (IPS).
"So, I always emphasize that cooperatives must have their own IPS. I appreciate the Consumer Cooperative Kujang Sauyunan Berdikari because he is able to build and develop the concept of Rumah Susu," explained the Deputy Minister of Cooperatives.
In fact, continued the Deputy Minister of Cooperatives, the cooperative was also able to create its own ecosystem in the MBG chain, namely having its own milk processing, as well as making MBG kitchens.
For the Deputy Minister of Cooperatives, this Flat is one of the key nodes in the national milk supply chain, which not only supply the nutritional needs of Indonesian children, but also move the cooperative sector and people's livestock upstream.

"The dairy house is here as a real effort to raise the added value of fresh milk from local dairy farmers," added the Deputy Minister of Cooperatives.
Moreover, Ferry explained, the Village/Kelurahan Merah Putih Cooperative program, which is targeted at 80 thousand Kopdes throughout Indonesia, can also establish its own milk processing unit, in addition to other business units that can be carried out by Kopdes.
"Essentially, the Milk Processing Unit can become one of the business units of the Red and White Village Cooperative," said the Deputy Minister of Cooperatives.
