Former Regent Of North Minahasa, Vonnie, Suspect Of Corruption In The Wave Breaking Project Arrested
MANADO - The North Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office has detained the former Regent of North Minahasa (Minut), North Sulawesi, Vonnie Anneke Panambunan.
Vonnie was named a suspect in the 2016 alleged corruption case of the wave break / hoarding Likupang Village Village II project.
The Head of North Sulawesi Attorney General's Office, Theo Rumampuk, said that the suspect Vonnie was immediately taken to the North Sulawesi Police detention center for detention by a team of investigators at the North Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office shortly after arriving at Sam Ratulangi Airport.
"Detention is carried out for 20 days starting April 28 to May 17, 2021," said Antara.
Earlier Tuesday, April 27, the investigating team of the North Sulawesi Attorney General's Office made the arrest of VAP alias Vonnie.
The arrest was based on the Arrest Warrant for Kajati North Sulawesi Number: Print - 415 /P.1/Fd.1/04/2021 dated April 27, 2021.
The suspect was arrested because he did not fulfill the summons from the team of investigators, either he was summoned 3 times.
After the arrest, the VAP suspect alias Vonnie was taken by the investigating team to Manado. In the wave-breaking corruption case, the state's financial losses reached IDR 6.7 billion.
However, on March 17, 2021, suspect Vonnie, through his legal advisor, returned a state financial loss of IDR 4.2 billion.
