Alleged Embezzlement Of MBG Funds By Partners, BGN Asked Not To Release Responsibility

JAKARTA - The alleged case of embezzlement of Free Nutrition Food (MBG) program funds by one of the partners of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), the Media Berkat Nusantara Foundation (MBN) is in the spotlight.
Public Policy Observer Trubus Rahadiansyah asked BGN to remain responsible.
"In my opinion, it is BGN's responsibility. Because of that, Mr. Prabowo's priority program MBG program. All problems occur in the field is BGN's responsibility because BGN is assigned the task of implementing the MBG program," he told VOI, Monday, April 21.
The reason is that these partners remain part of BGN so that the implementing party cannot be separated from responsibility.
"So, there is no reason for BGN to throw away responsibility with the foundation. That is an unwise answer, not the answer of a statesman. That is the answer of ordinary people," said Trubus.
"That there is a foundation issue with partners, it is indeed a problem between the two parties, but it is still the whole responsibility of BGN. Because it is a unit," he continued.
The Need For Legal Umbrellas
As a consideration, President Prabowo Subianto's vision and mission program must be strengthened by legal force so that it can prevent corruption while protecting the losses suffered by the partners of the National Nutrition Agency.
"Because of the legal protection, there is no Mrs. Ira (as a partner of the foundation). The legal (Payung) does not exist yet. The regulatory policy has not yet existed. Ideally, it should have been prepared from the start so that the potential for irregularities or misuse of the budget can be anticipated by BGN," Trubus suggested.
In addition, Trubus suggested that BGN review the contents of the agreement before establishing as a partner of the free nutritious eating program.

"What must be evaluated now is BGN summons the foundation. Because it is the foundation's agreement. So the foundation must pay what has been promised. This means that the BGN must always advocate to Ira-Ira's mother," he said.
Ira Mesra, who is a kitchen partner of MBG Kalibata, previously reported the Media Berkat Nusantara Foundation (MBN) to the police through her attorney, Dana Harly. The foundation was reported for not paying Ira's operational costs as a partner of almost Rp. 1 billion.
Head of the Public Relations Section of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kompol Nurma Dewi, said that previously the foundation and Ira had tried to take the mediation route, even the Kalibata MBG kitchen had returned to operation. However, the report continues because the reporting party has not withdrawn the police report that has been made.
