Google Calculator 8.7 Launched With Little Change In Button Distance

JAKARTA - Google has again updated its Android Calculator app. As usual, this company from Silicon Valley makes this update come once a year. In version 8.7 released in 2025, only one small change has been made.

The only change found in the Calculator 8.7 is the presence of a distance adjustment between the final key line and the gesture navigation bar at the bottom of the screen.

In the previous version, namely 8.6.1, the distance between the button and the navigation bar was so minimal that it seemed as if the "pill" icon (vigation gesture) was superimposed with two key rings on top. Now, the problem has been addressed by shrinking the button and screen display a little bit, thus providing more space. However, this change is very subtle and barely visible to users.

This distance change applies both to portrait and landscape orientations (scientific modes).

Google Calculator 8.7 is currently being launched through the Play Store, but not yet widely available. For those who don't want to wait, this application can be manually overloaded via available links.

For the record, this is the first small update since patch 8.6.1 last year. The Calculator has now become a fairly mature app. The last major update occurred in 2022, when Google introduced a two-column view for large-screen Android devices, as well as a Quick Settings (QS) tile feature to launch apps from anywhere. Meanwhile, the Material You design was introduced in 2021.
