Ipswich Vs Arsenal: Ed Sheeran Awarded A Signed Guitar To Declan Rice

Declan Rice revealed that he was awarded a guitar signed by Ed Sheeran which referred to his outstanding free-kick in Arsenal's Champions League quarter-final win over Real Madrid.

Rice scored two stunning free kicks in the first leg in north London - the first in his career - which shocked the Spanish giant.

At the same time, the goal helped Arsenal advance with a 5-1 aggregate victory. Arsenal will face Paris Saint-Germain in the last four of the Champions League.

Meanwhile, the midfielder played 71 minutes in Arsenal's win over Ipswich Town 4-0 at Portman Road on Sunday, April 20, 2025.

Sheeran is a minority shareholder at Ipswich and an ongoing tour sponsoring the club's T-shirt.

After Arsenal's win over Sheeran's struggling Ipswich, Rice shared the gifts he received in a post on Instagram.

Referring to the West Ham's former duet with Sheeran during the Euro 2020 campaign, Sheeran wrote on the acoustic guitar: "Declan! Play this next time I meet you, we'll sing together. A deadly free kick!"
