Telkom Raises Consolidation Revenue Of IDR 150 Trillion In 2024

JAKARTA - PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) closed 2024 by posting consolidated revenues of IDR 150 trillion or growing 0.5 percent compared to the previous year.

"The year 2024 is a period full of challenges for the telecommunications sector in Indonesia, influenced by weakening macroeconomic conditions due to global instability, as well as increasing industrial competition. However, Telkom can close the year with positive performance and achievements," said Telkom President Director Ririek Adriansyah in an official statement in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Monday, April 21.

The consolidated EBITDA (Laba before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortization) was recorded at IDR 75.0 trillion with the EBITDA margin maintained at 50.0 percent, even though it was affected by the Early Retirement Program (ERP) which was held in the second quarter of 2024.

In addition, the Company also recorded a net profit of IDR 23.6 trillion with a net profit margin of 15.8 percent. Meanwhile, operating net profit was recorded at IDR 24.1 trillion with an operating net profit margin of 16.1 percent.

In the fourth quarter of 2024, Telkom recorded a positive revenue growth of 2.2 percent quarter on quarter (QoQ) to IDR 37.7 trillion. In this period, net profit increased by 1.0 percent QoQ to IDR 6.0 trillion (15.8 percent).

This positive achievement was driven by an increase in the Data business, Internet & IT Services which grew 3.5 percent on an annual basis (yoy) to IDR 90.5 trillion throughout 2024.

This business continues to be one of the main drivers for Telkom's performance growth as shown by the increase in information technology (IT) and digital content services, as well as the increase in data traffic (data payload) which further confirms the high demand for data by customers in Indonesia.

In addition, interconnect revenue in 2024 will also experience an annual growth of 1.3 percent to Rp9.2 trillion, which is supported by increased business opportunities for international wholesale voice services.

Network revenue and other telecommunications services throughout 2024 grew by 17.4 percent (yoy) to Rp13.4 trillion, where this business in the fourth quarter of 2024 grew by 12.8 percent (QoQ) driven by the satellite service and management solutions business.

"Through the optimization of infrastructure, digital service innovation, and strengthening strategic partnerships, we continue to strive to provide relevant solutions for customers and encourage the growth of Indonesia's digital economy," said Ririek.

In the Consumer (Mobile and Fixed Broadband) segment, Telkomsel as a subsidiary of Telkom recorded a solid performance with an income of IDR 113.3 trillion or a growth of 10.7 percent yoy.

This positive growth is supported by Digital Business which is still the main driver of this segment, with revenue of IDR 78.3 trillion.
