12 Years Of Vacuum, Shanty Said She Had Lost Her Identity

JAKARTA After 12 years of vacuum not appearing on the entertainment stage in the country, singer and actress Shanty revealed the inner turmoil she experienced during her vacuum. He admitted that he had felt lost in direction and identity, but now slowly began to find out who he really was.

"(Feeling empty) really, I feel lost my identity," said Shanty in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, recently.

"How does it feel, yes, for me it's like a person who has been missing for a long time who feels like he wasn't here, in him, to find himself again," he continued.

For Shanty, the process of 'returning' feels very emotional and meaningful. He mentioned that the name that had been given by his parents felt alive again in him.

"It feels that the name given to my parents has really returned to me. That's why the vibrational radius of her voice was, Annisa Nurul Shanty Kusuma Wardhani, welcome back baby girl," said Shanty with a shaking voice.

The journey of finding identity is not easy, Shanty said that at the most fragile point, he felt saved by two things, namely God and music.

"Anyway, if you say comeback, I feel this is a gift from God, that's why I said earlier when I was sad, happy, lost and didn't want to do anything, my rescue was two, namely God and music," he said.

Through music, Shanty received a reminder that he was still able and worthy to return to the world that had made his name.

"When I listen to old music or songs I remind me again, 'You can do this again', maybe you have to be patient first," he concluded.
