Chairman Of The Indonesian Bawaslu: PSU Pasaman Pilkada Does Not Find Money Politics

Chairman of the Indonesian Bawaslu Rahmat Bagja stated that he did not find any money politics practices in the re-voting stage (PSU) for regional head elections (Pilkada) in Pasaman Regency, West Sumatra.

"In the dawn attack, there was no attack that did not dawn. There was also no attack, before the closing of the TPS until now there has been no detection," said Bagja when met by the media crew at Pols 003 Nagari Tanjung Beringin, Lubuk Attitude, Pasaman, Saturday.

He conveyed that the surveillance patrol by Bawaslu was carried out intensively ahead of voting day. Even so, there were no indications of violations in the form of giving money or material to voters.

"No reports or findings about money politics have been received," he said.

He explained that until now he had only received reports related to ASN neutrality.

Bagja also encouraged the public and election participants to maintain the integrity of the democratic process and report if they found indications of fraud.

"We are still opening space for public reports. Please ask Bawaslu of Pasaman Regency for further information in the field," said Bagja.

Pasaman Regency has carried out the 2024 Pilkada PSU on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 605 polling stations (TPS) in 12 sub-districts with 218,980 voters.
