After Losing To Persib, Teco Resigns From Bali United Coach
JAKARTA - Stefano 'Teco' Cugurra resigned from the Bali United head coach chair starting at the end of this season after his team lost 1-2 to Persib at the Bandung Lautan Api Stadium, Bandung City on Friday night.
"I told Bali United supporters that I have a responsibility since I first arrived at Bali United in 2019. As a coach, I am responsible for winning, drawing or losing until tonight against Persib," Teco quoted Antara as saying.
Teco, who has handled Bali United for five seasons, emphasized that he will continue to accompany the team until the end of the season and is determined to complete the remaining matches with the best results.
"Previously, I had spoken to management when my duties were completed this year, and the remaining five matches wanted to give the best for Bali United and management could make preparations to find a new coach for next season," he said.
Bali United are ranked 10th in the standings with 41 points from 29 matches, 11 of which they won, plus eight draws, and 10 defeats.
In the last seven matches, Serdadu Tridatu has difficulty achieving maximum results.
Bali United CEO Yabes Tanuri praised the dedication of the coach who succeeded in bringing this club to win League 1 twice.

Under the tutelage of Teco, Bali United won League 1 in the 2019 and 2021/2022 seasons, and appeared in Asian competitions.
Teco also contributed to the development of young players who are now consistently strengthening the first team.
Teco is still accompanying the team in the remaining five matches this season against PSM, PSIS, Persija, Madura United, and Persebaya.
