The Presidential Communication Office Around Bengkulu To Socialize The President's Vision And Program

BENGKULU - In order to realize the vision of Indonesia Gold 2045, President Prabowo refers to 8 Asta Cita, 17 Priority Programs, 8 Fast Best Result Programs (PHTC). One of the important aspects of 8, 17, 8 is the improvement of the welfare of the people engaged in the agriculture, plantation and livestock sectors.

This was conveyed by the Main Expert of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Ricky Tamba when socializing President Prabowo's program in Bengkulu, Thursday, April 17. Ricky said the government's hard work would improve the welfare of the people, which ultimately led to the progress of the nation.

"All sectors and levels of society must continue to be touched, for example, rural groups who mostly live in agriculture, plantations and livestock. The President runs the government with 8 Asta Cita, 17 Priority Programs, and 8 PHTC. Everything must be accessed to the maximum level of grassroots," Ricky said in a written statement, Friday, April 18.

In a series of activities in Bengkulu Province, Ricky discussed with social activists and Prabowo-Gibran volunteers. Their understanding and role are expected to accelerate the implementation of various programs that have been, are currently, and will continue to be carried out by the government.

"According to President Prabowo's direction, increasing public communication is an important part of real work, which of course must further expand public involvement anywhere," said Ricky.

Located in Jenggalu Village, Sukaraja District, Seluma Regency, Ricky attended the launch of a food self-sufficiency acceleration program in the form of corn planting initiated by the Policy and Development Assistance Network (JPKP). Hundreds of farmers, village assistant professionals, agricultural extension workers, and officials in the local area participated in watching this activity.

"Greetings from President Prabowo, Vice President Gibran, and Head of PCO Hasan Nasbi to all mothers. Thank you very much for the struggle to ensure self-sufficiency in food, especially with corn planting on the former HGU Sahabudin land which will gradually reach hundreds of hectares," said Ricky during his remarks.

Ricky said President Prabowo's commitment was unquestionable, because from decades ago he had always paid attention to the farmers. President Prabowo has issued various Presidential Instruction and Presidential Decree concerning food security, which is part of 8, 17, 8.

The President has instructed Bulog to absorb corn with a cellphone of IDR 5,500. The President also issued a policy to support the optimization of corn self-sufficiency, increase production through intensification and extensification of land, strengthening government corn reserves through absorption with a target of 1 million tons of CJP, increasing productivity through strengthening potential corn centers, namely Bengkulu, NTB, Lampung, and other areas. The President also made Cooperatives of Merah Putih Village to improve the community's economic business.

"The President's message is to keep the community in harmony, unite, and work together in the struggle to help make food security self-sufficiency a success, which is a noble task from the government and the people in realizing an advanced, just and prosperous Indonesia," said Ricky.

After planting corn, the activity continued with questions with the public about agricultural programs and other development. Public enthusiasm is very high and lasts until the afternoon.

Secretary General of JPKP, Herlina said, JPKP is massively continuing to campaign for President Prabowo's food security strategic work program. This time through the corn planting movement, JPKP collaborated with Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Jenggalu to utilize land that was no longer productive, former HGU Sahabudin, which had already been established by the court.

"This is a pilot project in the Sumatra region and will continue to be encouraged throughout Indonesia," explained Herlina.

Lands that are no longer productive, he continued, should be an economic value for the welfare of the village and the people, not to be owned, let alone controlled by the land mafia which is detrimental to the state. The economic empowerment of the village community can run well through BUMDes and Cooperatives of Red and White Villages in managing natural resources and the potential for existing businesses.
